It wasn't just letters but handmade gifts as well.  Injured WWI soldiers would spend time carefully decorating heart-shaped pin cushions to send home to family members at home as a token of love. Pop in to the Museum this half term and decorate your own pincushion for someone special. We’ll have plenty of colourful materials and interesting beads so you can get creative! Different year groups created different projects. Reception recorded an interview with somebody who knew history about the school and Year 6 have sewn the symbols of many different religions and created a big cross.
