DESCRIPTION:An Introduction to Lino Printing \nAn Introduction to Lino Printing with Zoe Ansari Tickets\, Sat\, May 25\, 2024 at 10:00 AM | Eventbrite \nDate: Saturday 25th May\nTime: 10:00 AM – 4: 00 PM\nWhere: The Museum of Cambridge\nTickets: £80 which includes all materials and light refreshments \nJoin the talented Zoe Ansari at her first workshop at the Museum of Cambridge. In this fantastic hands-on day you will learn: \n\nHow to design for lino\nTransferring the design onto the block\nCarving the lino block\, safely using tools to create different marks and effects\nInking up and printing without the need for a printing press\, using a spoon!\nExperiment with inks\, coloured papers and different textures.\n\nAt the end of the day\, you will take home your beautifully hand-crafted prints and lino block\, to print at home. \nNo experience is necessary to join the workshop. All materials and equipment will be provided\, along with expert guidance on the day\, and instructions. Bring your own lunch. There will be tea\, coffee and light refreshments. \nZoe is a Cambridge-based printmaker and illustrator who has been working with Lino Printing for many years. Trained as a stone letter carver\, Lino was a natural progression into exploring another medium. Zoe blends her training in letter carving and drawing skills into a nature and pattern design-inspired lino printing practice. \nInspired by the natural world\, unique patterns and storytelling\, Zoe most enjoys the graphic quality of lino print and its versatility. \nZoe runs other workshops in Cambridge\, for David Parr House and has exhibited at The Atelier by the Sea in Brighton and the Lettering Arts Trust in Snape Malting\, Suffolk. \n\n\n  \nAccessibility \nYou can read about our accessibility information on our website.
