DESCRIPTION:Join the Museum of Cambridge and let your creativity take centre stage with our family toy theatre-making activity. Create scenery and characters of a Pollock theatre\, inspired by the one on display in the Museum’s Childhood Room. This hands-on craft will take place on Sunday 21st\, Saturday 27th of January and Sunday 4th of February. \nFind out about the history of the Pollock theatres and how they were made. Learn about local legend Elizabeth Woodcock\, who got lost for eight days in a snowstorm in 1799. Be inspired by her remarkable story as we guide you through the creation of scenery and characters to bring her story to life. This event is suitable for ages 6 and above with an accompanying adult. It is not suitable for younger children unless visiting with an older sibling. \nDates: \n21st\, 27th of January\n4th of February \nTimes:  \n11 AM – 12:30 AM\n1 PM- 2:30 PM\n3:00 PM – 4:30 PM (On all dates except for Saturday 27th) \nTickets: \nTo book a ticket and reserve your spot\, book your tickets online here. If you’re not sure if you will be able to join us\, don’t worry! There will be tickets available on the day\, at the Front Desk of the Museum. This event is free of charge and available through support from the Cambridge City Council Community Grant. \nPlace:\nThe Enid Porter Room\nAt the Museum of Cambridge\n2-3 Castle Street\nCambridge\nCb3 0AQ \nAccessibility  \nThe Enid Porter Room has level access into the space. You’ll find us at the corner of Castle Street and Northampton Street. We are right beside Kettle’s Yard and only a 15-minute walk from King’s College.   \nYou can park your bike at the bike parks on Bridge Street or on Northampton Street. There is a bus stop on Bridge Street. Check out the Stagecoach website to plan your journey to and from the Museum. Find out more about how to get here by train\, bike\, bus\, car or on foot on our website.  \nPhotography  \nPlease note that photographs will be taken throughout this event\, and images may be used in future marketing and reporting materials.
