SUMMARY:Exhibition: A Loyal Toast
DESCRIPTION:From a simple ceremony in a village church to the pomp and circumstance of royal nuptials\, weddings are rarely sedate affairs \nDid you know that the town of Cambridge celebrated the marriage of Prince George\, Duke of York\, and Mary of Tek on 6 July 1893 with a day long programme of games\, concerts\, fireworks and a tea for a thousand of the aged poor on Parker’s Piece? \nThere is no doubt that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials on Saturday 19 May will inspire much of the same joy and happiness\, and we are getting involved. A Loyal Toast explores the many customs associated with marriage in Cambridgeshire and celebrates the big day with a display of commemorative objects from past royal weddings – including some surprises! \nWe also want to hear from you\, so tell us how you will be celebrating the royal wedding below. \n\n← Back Thank you for your response. ✨\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nName(required)\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\nEmail(required)\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\nTell us how you will celebrate the royal wedding or share a story\, memory or custom from your own special day(required)\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\nYour Postcode(required)\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n \n \n Submit \n \n \n \nΔ \n\nWe will only keep your contact details in order to follow up on your submission to Tracing Traditions and A Loyal Toast\, otherwise we will delete them at the end of the exhibition on 3 June 2018.
