Send ’em off to the vegetable patch with me – they’ll have fun rattling me to scare off all the birds, plus you’ll get to keep your veggie seeds in the ground and not in the birds’ bellies. A win all round, surely!
I’ve had a ton of practice- I was well-used by local farming children out in the fields before I was donated to the Museum for safekeeping.
Because I’m made of wood, I’m really vulnerable to woodworm, rot, splintering and even mould – so the Museum has to keep a very close eye on me.
Consider me for adoption -you won’t really get to take me home, but you’ll get 2 free tickets to come visit me plus kids 12 and under are always free – so I’m a day out and an historical object rolled in one!
