Description
“Not only am I beautiful to look at and one of the first objects you encounter when you enter the Museum, I’m also an important piece of Cambridgeshire LBGTQIA+ history. The Half Moon Inn – that’s the pub I used to hang out at – was once the home of Noel Teulon Porter and the meeting place for the Half Mooners. They were also known as the British Sexological Society and, before that, the British Society of Psychiatry. They were a society interested in homosexual law reform and sexual liberation.
So I guess I’m the perfect balance of brains and beauty.
Adopt me and help preserve an important and often overlooked part of Cambridgeshire history. If you take me on as a friend, you’ll also be making sure the museum can keep me looking as stunning as I am. I’m made of metal, you see, and I can corrode and discolour if I’m not cared for properly.
