The Rotary Quern

£50.00

I might be old, but I’m hard as nails. And not just because I’m made from stone; I’m also a survivor. I’m so tough that I’ve survived centuries of human history and some even think I’m from the middle iron age.

Back in the day, I had a partner in crime. We would put our nose to the grindstone all day to grind up grain for families to make bread. My partner has long since gone, but I’m still around and, now that I don’t work, I sit in the Museum kitchen greeting visitors.

If you adopt me, you’ll be helping to preserve an important piece of Cambridge’s everyday history. You could even gift me to a classical history lover. I think we’d get along.
