The Museum of Cambridge is accessible to visitors with limited mobility via level entrance access and a lift. There is a disabled access toilet on the ground floor. Unfortunately, the top floor isn’t accessible to wheelchair users due to fire regulations. One of our rooms, Fenland and Folklore, has three steps up to it and no level access.
Our building is very old and full of character and all visitors need to be aware of the uneven floorboards and narrow staircases.

We are working on pictorial access information. In the meantime this video shows the interior of the Museum clearly. It is from a collaborative project with Kettle’s Yard so not designed as a ‘virtual tour’ but it may be helpful and of interest.
