Cambridgeshire residents who contributed their folk stories.

Get involved

Do you have a local folk story or memory to share? Whether it’s a spooky tale passed around at school, an old superstition, or a unique custom you still practise or have heard about, we want to hear from you!

Your contribution could be anything that reflects a story, belief or custom connected to Cambridgeshire. It might be centuries old or something that has emerged more recently. It could have been brought to the county from another culture through migration, or be a story or custom found in many cultures but told, practised or adapted in a distinctive way in Cambridgeshire.

We want to capture the folklore of Cambridgeshire as it exists today, celebrating the county’s rich cultural diversity and the ways its traditions continue to evolve.
