Play Reading: Man and Woman – The Question of the Day
8 November, 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
A play in two acts by Mrs James Ward
Join us in the Newnham Old Labs Building on Thursday 8 November for a reading of this influential play, first performed in 1909.
A cast of prominent local thespians will rediscover the suffrage themes of Mary Ward’s work Man and Woman – The Question of the Day. The evening will be introduced by Dr Ann Kennedy Smith.
We are delighted that Newnham College will host this performance, as the author Mary Ward was both a student and later a lecturer at the College.
