The Museum of Cambridge is a unique cultural institution dedicated to safeguarding the extraordinary stories of everyday people from Cambridge and Cambridgeshire. Set in the Grade II-listed 17th century White Horse Inn, on the important Roman street from castle to river to university, the Museum has been telling these stories since 1936.

As an independent charity, we receive no regular public funding and are not part of the University of Cambridge. We rely on income from entry fees, venue hire, donations, and the incredible generosity of volunteers and supporters like you.

Your regular subscription helps fund the preservation of our collection and archives, the development of events and community work, as well as special exhibitions and displays.

As a Friend you will enjoy:

  • free admission to the Museum at any time, along with a guest
  • free entry to all our talks and tours
  • a 10% discount in our shop
  • a 15% discount on venue hire
  • a regular newsletter
  • invitations to Friends-only events
