Find the Portraits of Cambridge! Inspired by our temporary exhibition, we are hitting the streets of Cambridge to hunt down the images captured by artists over 100 years ago to see just how much has changed.

Join our Engagement and Learning Officer on a walking tour through Cambridge with a difference: we’re looking at what is around us now, and what came before, through the eyes of the artists in the Museum’s exhibition.

Be prepared to take lots of pictures as we try to line up the exact angles of the original artworks and recreate some of the Portraits of Cambridge.

Tickets are £10 per adult and £5 per child and include entry to the Museum of Cambridge to enjoy the exhibition at your own pace after the tour.

This event will include a fair amount of walking through the streets of Cambridge. It is designed for adults and children aged 8+.

Tours run 11:00-13:00 beginning at the Museum of Cambridge.

Getting Here:

We are in the centre of Cambridge. You’ll find us at the corner of Castle Street and Northampton Street. We are right beside Kettle’s Yard and only a 15-minute walk from King’s College.

You can park your bike at the bike parks on Bridge Street or on Northampton Street. There is a bus stop nearby on Bridge Street. Find out more about how to get here by train, bike, bus, car or on foot on our website.
