My Buried Treasure – Family Activity

28 August 2022, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Calling all families with children aged 5-10!

Investigate time capsules from the past and make your very own treasure box in which to store your message for the future!

Come and join us at the Museum of Cambridge for an exciting history and art FREE family workshop this August! As part of the Remembering Covid-19: Time Capsule Project, explore some of the museum’s collection of 20,000 objects in this fun, family-friendly workshop. Unbox time capsules from the past and discover the treasures hidden inside. Then make a treasure box of your own! What will you put into your time capsule treasure box?

Help us to keep everyone safe by taking a lateral flow test before arriving at the event, and not attending if you feel unwell. In order to run a safe event and not disappoint anyone once spaces are full, booking is essential and you can reserve your free places here using Eventbrite, or should you prefer, do feel free to email us directly at: sarah.hutton@museumofcambridge.org.uk.

Workshops are running on multiple dates across August.

Please note that photographs will be taken throughout the session, and images taken will be used to promote further Museum events, as well as in funding reports. If you do not wish you or your family’s photograph to be taken, please make sure to let us know ahead of time.

Book for FREE via our Eventbrite page: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/386001881017

A big thank you to the funding provided by the Vaccine Access Grant and Cambridge City Council to run these exciting workshops.
