About the exhibition: Portraits of Cambridge: A Town in Transition invites you to explore a Cambridge as a town grappling with change. By the late 19th century, Cambridge had been reshaped by rapid growth, shifting industries, and an evolving streetscape.

About the exhibition: An exhibition co-curated by our Young Historians and the Museum of Cambridge will be on display in the Dining Parlour at the Museum of Cambridge from 17 July to 14 September 2026. There are various cats on and around the lettering: a maneki-neko or beckoning cat figurine, a card shaped like a black cat, a sepia-tone photograph of a cat, and a pair of sitting ceramic cats which are white with dark spots. In the top right corner there is a white Museum of Cambridge logo which includes an illustration of a historical building and the information 'Registered Charity 311309'.
