Toy Theatre Family Craft Activity

21 January, 11:00 am - 4:30 pm

Join the Museum of Cambridge and let your creativity take centre stage with our family toy theatre-making activity. Create scenery and characters of a Pollock theatre, inspired by the one on display in the Museum’s Childhood Room. This hands-on craft will take place on Sunday 21st, Saturday 27th of January and Sunday 4th of February.

Find out about the history of the Pollock theatres and how they were made. Learn about local legend Elizabeth Woodcock, who got lost for eight days in a snowstorm in 1799. Be inspired by her remarkable story as we guide you through the creation of scenery and characters to bring her story to life. This event is suitable for ages 6 and above with an accompanying adult. It is not suitable for younger children unless visiting with an older sibling.
