From a simple ceremony in a village church to the pomp and circumstance of royal nuptials, A Loyal Toast explores the folk customs associated with marriage in Cambridgeshire and celebrates the upcoming union of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with a display of commemorative objects from past royal weddings
Come and see pictures from the Museum of Cambridge collections paired with photographs of the same locations as they are today, taken by students of Cambridgeshire Regional College.

We're venturing beyond the Grade II listed walls of our Museum for a day and coming to see you as part of the Cambridge Big Weekend. Join us on Parker's Piece for an afternoon of activities, chat and fun on Saturday 14 July.
There'll be fun aplenty and something for every everyone as our very own Fanny Cradock explores the history of jelly and the copper and china jelly moulds on display in our collection. She'll be making wobbly treats in retro aluminium bunny rabbit jelly moulds, which will be familiar to children of the 1960s and 1970s, and testing modern day jelly moulds, courtesy of Tala.
You can even get involved yourself! Make your own fabulously-coloured, quick-setting agar jelly balls, see who can make the tallest tower out of marshmallows and spaghetti and create your very own vision of Cambridge in the the year 2196!
Our summer exhibition explores the personal recollections and anecdotes of people growing up in Cambridgeshire during the last 60 years. Drawing upon our own collection, we will chart the evolution of toys and clothing through the years and examine how they have influenced childhood in the county
