Exhibition: Pride & Place: An LGBTQ+ Exhibition

We're hosting a special exhibition curated by the local LGBTQ+ community about LGBTQ+ lives in the city throughout history. Exploring this year's theme of activism, and more broadly the subject of change, we'll be sharing personal experiences from those who have been involved in social movements as well as looking at the loss of LGBTQ+ spaces in the city over recent years.

What happens when a primary school curates an exhibition? You'll have to pop in to the Museum to see. 'The pupils of St Luke's have contributed to an exhibition at the Museum of Cambridge! Different year groups created different projects. Reception recorded an interview with somebody who knew history about the school and Year 6 have sewn the symbols of many different religions and created a big cross. Hiraeth is an exhibition that will explore how different groups of people relate to home and belonging in Cambridge, through audio recordings of participants talking about places in the city, maps of the city they drew from memory, alongside photos.
